Happy Birthday Mom!
August 30, 2006 by solacegirl
Today is Mom’s birthday. I won’t reveal her age. If you want to know ask her. Although Grammy J always said that it was impolite to ask a lady her age. Let’s just say that she doesn’t look her age. While Pencil and Emma were at day camp I ran up the freeway to spend some time with Mom and Dad. She has worked really hard these past few months; showing herself faithful to her role as wife, mother, sister and friend. She deserves a little R-n-R. Hopefully she’ll find some during her self proclaimed birthday week and this weekend for our annual Labor Day beach trip. I love you Mom!

Mom’s sister, Auntie Jo, made this afghan for Mom. It is an OSU inspired aphi.
She is holding the flowers from Jeff.
We enjoyed a nice lunch at my cousin “in-law’s” tea shop. It has a wonderful atmosphere.
I thought this sign should be in a window at Ruthie B’s.

That’s my grandma! She’s beautiful, in all aspects of life.
What great pictures! You two look alot alike. Happy Birthday, Amy’s Mom!
Amy,
I just sucessfully posted a video on my blog. Horray for technology! When I heard the message I thought of you and Jeff. You should listen to it, it has a fabulous story about George’s great-grandfather-in-law(George Nye is the speaker). It makes me think of Dave and his unyielding ethics. The message is truly rousing and worth the 20 minutes. I did the video but I didn’t do such a good job. Try not to let that get in the way!
